Alpha House Inc. is 501(c)(3) organization affiliated with Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. and  established to provide educational support and mentoring opportunities for at-risk children and youth.  We are particularly committed to serving underserved communities throughout the Philadelphia area. This includes the Alpha Leadership Academy which develops young leaders by promoting academic excellence and enhancing civic engagement and social responsibility. The program is geared toward Black male students at Philadelphia schools and takes place on one Saturday per month from October through June. Participants engage in activities designed to improve self-esteem, academic performance, and responsible decision making.

We also provide meeting space to facilitate planning and execution of community programs by several local alumni chapters of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.; programs such as A Voteless People is a Hopeless People which promotes awareness of voter rights and registration, and Project Alpha which educates teenagers on sexually transmitted diseases and healthy decision making.
